Modern Warfare 4 is live: what arrives before Season 1
MW4 launched on October 23, and Infinity Ward's roadmap already lists Shipment, Possession, Infected and Season 1 on November 6.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launched worldwide on October 23, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version. According to Activision, the launch brings a new campaign, 20 multiplayer maps (12 new 6v6 maps, 4 Gunfight maps, 3 Ground War maps and Kill Block) and the DMZ extraction mode, set in Hajin.
The roadmap Infinity Ward published on October 14 lists Shipment for October 27, Possession for October 29, Infected for October 30 and Season 1 of MW4 and Warzone for November 6. From Season 1 on, Warzone picks up MW4 content and progression and stops running on PS4 and Xbox One.
Our take: anyone who picked up the BlackCell Battle Pass in the preorder only sees that content when Season 1 opens. Until then, the focus is the campaign and the launch maps.
