ASUS introduced the ROG Gladius IV Ace on August 25 with adjustable weight from 56 to 71 grams and browser configuration through Gear Link. The announcement emphasizes ergonomics and customization for competitive players.

The interesting option is exploring different handling characteristics without immediately replacing a mouse. Lighter does not automatically mean better for everyone, though. Grip, hand size, surface, and chosen sensitivity all affect the experience.

If you can test it, compare similar sessions and pay attention to fine control, stopping motion, and comfort. Changing weight and sensitivity simultaneously makes it harder to identify the cause of a difference. People alternating work and games should also examine button reach during ordinary navigation.

We have not verified the ergonomic claims in use or measured latency. Our take is that adjustment could help establish a preference without replacing the need to try the shape. Before comparing maximum DPI, identify the problem with your current peripheral. Is it weight, palm support, or inconsistent movement?
