ASUS opened ROG Xbox Ally X20 preorders on August 25, with sales scheduled for October 15, 2026 in the announced markets. The handheld adds a 7.4-inch OLED screen and controller changes to the lineup's proposition.
A display upgrade is tempting, but a useful comparison starts with your library. List several games you actually want away from your desk, then check compatibility, installation size, and connection requirements. A handheld earns its place by making that route easier.
Screen quality and ergonomics come next. Contrast, small-text readability, weight in the hands, and button reach matter during longer sessions, particularly when moving between games and PC interfaces. We have not handled the device to assess these points or battery life.
Our take: the X20 deserves attention as a complete package, but we have no basis for calling it the best purchase. Announced overseas prices and availability do not establish Brazilian conditions. Before comparing it with your current hardware, decide which problem you want to solve: image quality, comfort, or game access.
