Galaxy Z Fold8 vs Fold8 Ultra: compare the shape before the name
Samsung’s July foldables take different approaches. Compare documented shape, weight and screen differences without inventing a universal winner.

Samsung introduced the lineup on July 22. Its documentation lists a 7.6-inch inner screen and 201g weight for Fold8, versus eight inches and 215g for Fold8 Ultra. Those numbers help compare size but do not independently measure comfort or productivity.
The first criterion in this comparison is shape. A larger area may suit documents and multiple windows, while different proportions change how video and games appear. That does not mean every app automatically uses every inch effectively.
The second criterion is everyday closed-phone use. Typing one-handed or quickly opening a map happens more often than a perfect multitasking demonstration. Third comes the complete cost in your region, including support and relevant accessories; a currency conversion is not a local retail offer.
The result is a decision framework, not a podium: prioritize size and ergonomics according to the tasks you repeat. We have not tested either phone. Before choosing the Ultra label, try holding both and check whether your important apps work well in the format you prefer. The more impressive specification is only useful if it improves those ordinary moments.
