Evercold launches February 23, 2027, and pre-orders open on the 4th

Square Enix's Lodestone published the date for FINAL FANTASY XIV: Evercold on October 31. The expansion launches Tuesday, February 23, 2027. Early access is set for Friday, February 19, 2027, at 1:00 a.m. Pacific time, 6:00 a.m. in Brasília. Pre-orders open Wednesday, November 4.

On April 24, 2026, in the Fan Festival Anaheim press release, Square Enix had set January 2027. The October post does not call the change a delay. Comparing the two official pages is what moves the expansion off January and onto February 23.

The expansion site names two new jobs, and both work only in Evolved mode. Bastion is a tank and fights with a skyltborg. Zephyr is a physical ranged DPS and uses a crossbow. The page says these hunters drop their quarry with crossbow shots and support from an avian familiar. The text does not name that familiar.

The product page lists the Collector's Edition. The Collector's Bundle, US$319.99 on the North American store, pairs the digital collector's edition for Windows or Mac with the physical box, sold only on the Square Enix Store. The account items named there are the Valhallar Odin mount, the Entreat Crystal emote and the Crystal Skyltborg, which only a Bastion can equip. They arrive by moogle letter when early access begins. A pre-order also includes the Wind-up Köttr minion, Halone's Earring, with 30% EXP from level 1 through 100, and early access. To play in that window, the page asks for Dawntrail registered and certain quests completed. The expansion does not run on its own: it is for people who already own the full game, outside the free trial, and the subscription still applies.

On the Japanese site, the Steam version is set for February 24, 2027.
